In celebration of the pre-birthday of Dr. Praxedes A. Ignacio, President of Mallig Plains Colleges, Inc. (MPCI), the institution successfully conducted a Blood Letting Outreach Program on July 15, 2026, in partnership with the Cagayan Valley Medical Center (CVMC) and the Rural Health Unit (RHU) of Mallig.

Carrying the theme, "Give Blood, Save Lives!", the outreach program aimed to promote voluntary blood donation and help maintain an adequate blood supply for patients and emergency cases requiring lifesaving blood transfusions.

The activity brought together students, faculty members, school officials, staff, and volunteer donors who selflessly extended the gift of life through blood donation. Gracing the event were Dr. Praxedes A. Ignacio, School President; Dr. Bonifacio De Guzman, Principal of Basic Education; faculty and staff of MPCI; MPRBI employees; and the dedicated medical teams from CVMC and the RHU of Mallig.

To ensure the safety and eligibility of every donor, participants first underwent a comprehensive screening process, including the assessment of blood pressure, body temperature, heart rate, hemoglobin level, and the completion of a donor history questionnaire before the actual blood donation.

More than a health initiative, the Blood Letting Outreach Program reflects MPCI's unwavering commitment to community service, compassion, and social responsibility. Through collective generosity and a shared sense of purpose, the institution continues to inspire a culture of volunteerism and humanitarian service.

Every blood donation is a gift of life. Thank you to everyone who generously donated and helped make a difference, one bag of blood, one life saved.
