PEÑABLANCA, Cagayan — Key administrative officers from Mallig Plains Colleges, Inc. participated in the Building Reliable, Integrated Data for Growth in Education (BRIDGE) activity conducted by the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office II (CHEDRO II) on July 22, 2026, at Senala Pavilion Resort.
The delegation was headed by Mr. Conrado B. Bangibang, HR Personnel; Dr. Methodia B. Lagadi, Vice President for Academic Affairs; and Mr. Jimuel B. Rosales, MIS Coordinator.
Organized for institutional leadership, academic administrators, human resource officers, and IT personnel across Region II, the BRIDGE initiative focused on strengthening institutional data management. The activity aimed to establish a reliable, accessible data repository to support planning, monitoring, and evidence-based decision-making across Cagayan Valley higher education institutions.
The activity commenced with an opening message from Dr. Julieta M. Paras, CESO III, Director IV of CHEDRO II. Dr. Paras emphasized that accurate data serves as the foundation for crafting sound policies and guidelines, bridging operational gaps toward sustained growth in higher education.
During the interactive sessions, participants engaged in discussions on Gender and Development (GAD), highlighting strategies for promoting gender inclusivity and sensitivity across campus environments. Additionally, an orientation on the Scholarship for Instructors’ Knowledge Advancement Program (SIKAP) encouraged faculty members to pursue advanced studies for career progression.
To address reporting inconsistencies, the program included a detailed walkthrough on the standard personnel profile template, guiding administrators on improving data accuracy and validation procedures.
As part of CHEDRO II's digital transformation efforts, the commission introduced the new Data Collection Portal. This centralized platform enhances data security, streamlines real-time monitoring, and simplifies reporting workflows for higher education institutions.
